In winter snow leopards, the rarest cats, decend from their habitat in upper Manang in search of blue sheep. Manang Youth Society, World Wildlife Fund for Nature, Nepal Program and California-based Rodney Jackson’s Snow Leopard Conservancy are working together to protect these endangered species by educating and encouraging locals to become “community wildlife stewards”.
